How long will the tutoring sessions be?

Each session will be thirty minutes, however, because Google Meets is a free service, a session can run longer if both the student and the tutor haves schedules that are available for a time extension.

What grades and math classes do we tutor?

Our main focus at TutorStand is the middle and elementary school age group, and we intend on tutoring math classes commonly taught in middle and elementary schools. These include common core k-8th grade math as well as pre-algebra and algebra. For more advanced courses such as pre-calculus or geometry, your time may best be spent somewhere else.

What if my tutor cancels on me?

At TutorStand we hold our tutors up to a high standard, but also understand that sometimes life events come up, and tutors must cancel. If this happens, contact us, and we will try to reschedule you. We will make sure tutors who frequently miss their scheduled appointments do better.

How do I know where to go for my meeting?

A tutor will send you a Google Meets invite (via the email you signed up with). If this does not happen, make sure to contact us.
